About Me
Miles Dunne, (b. 1998, Australia, he/him) is a multi-disciplinary artist working in creative technology, design, and installation. His work centres around creating immersive experiences that entice audiences to absolve boundaries and participate in its delivery. His work is inspired by his own experiences of discarding social barriers through interaction with Art. His current work includes real-time immersive media, interactive installation, video production, event activation and post-production VFX. Dunne continues to expand his practice by exploring the interaction between digital forms of media and physical space, and objects, through interactive and immersive light installations.
Dunne’s work incorporates the use of LED screens, projectors and lighting, often accompanied by sound, physical installation, and various inputs such as sensor, cameras and controllers. Working primarily in live rendering digital software Touchdesigner, he creates dynamic animations that evolve in real-time through means of programming and interaction.
Dunnes’ work explores the unique intersection between emerging digital technologies and the physical world, using interactive elements to create augmented versions of reality. The themes within his work are often guided by the fast-growing integration of digital technologies into our everyday lives. Being of a generation that experienced the rapid advancement of digital technology throughout their formative years, Dunne is very familiar with the seemingly ‘magical’ feeling of experiencing new forms of technology for the first time. He seeks to replicate this feeling through his work, by using technology in meaningful ways to deliver unique, awe inspiring and highly personal experiences to viewers.
